The Reef Resort located in the Cayman Islands has recently joined the highly respected and extremely popular North American Wyndham brand, becoming the Wyndham Reef Resort Grand Cayman.
Previously a Wyndham Affiliate, the Resort has met the high standards of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts following a year-long renovation and rejuvenation.
Mr Kel Thompson, Director of Wyndham Reef Resort, said he was thrilled the Wyndham Reef Resort Grand Cayman was now part of such an established and popular brand.
“Becoming a full Wyndham property means we have a reach into a market we never had before,” he said. “The recognition of the brand cannot be over-estimated.”
Mr Thompson said the Resort had undergone structural and organisational renovations to ensure it complied with the high standards set by Wyndham.
“It was a team effort,” he said. “I am incredibly proud of our staff for their hard work and dedication, which resulted in the best possible outcome for our owners and guests – being awarded the prestigious Wyndham name.”
Already a highly popular destination for visitors, especially repeat visitors, the Wyndham Reef Resort Grand Cayman is the only available all-inclusive property in the Cayman Islands, and every one of its 152 suites are ocean facing.
“We pride ourselves on offering our guests a laid back, relaxing and secluded beach vacation,” Mr Thompson said. “If you are looking for fantastic beach front accommodation, watersports, snorkeling and simply getting away from it all, this is the place to be.”
Mr Geoff Ballotti, President and Chief Executive Officer, Wyndham Hotel Group, said the Resort would make an excellent addition to Wyndham’s portfolio.
“All of us, from our Chairman and CEO down, are so incredibly proud of this gorgeous new Wyndham resort,” he said. “We look forward to continuing the journey with the team at Wyndham Reef Resort who will be an integral part of our success moving forward.”
“We are the global leader in travel accommodations welcoming our guests to iconic brands and vacation destinations through our signature Count On Me! Service,” Mr Ballotti said. “At Wyndham we believe that fostering a service-oriented culture is paramount to providing our visitors the best possible vacation experience. We know staff at the Wyndham Reef Resort Grand Cayman are more than able to meet our high expectations.”
The Honorable Moses Kirkconnell, Deputy Premier and Minister for District Administration, Tourism and Transport of the Cayman Islands, was equally delighted with the partnering.
“I believe this association will be a great addition for the Cayman Islands because adding another highly trusted brand to the islands gives further verification of our diverse accommodation and tourism offerings,” he said. “Wyndham is the world’s largest hotel company with highly recognisable brands. With over 7,400 hotels worldwide, it’s a global leader in travel accommodations and therefore attracts a wider circle of visitors to the islands as a result.”
Located in East End in Grand Cayman, the Resort features studio, 1 and 2 bedroom suites, on 1,600 feet of pristine beach front. Every suite has uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea.
Wyndham has been named one of FORTUNE Magazine’s Most Admired Companies (2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013) and was named as a 2015 World’s Most Ethical Company.
