Cayman Islands Feed Our Future Century Ride provides 2,000 nutritious meals for students in need

Raising a total of CI$10,500, the Cayman Islands Cycling Association (CICA) partnered with Feed Our Future (FOF) to host the 3rd annual Feed Our Future Century Ride, which will allow the not-for-profit organisation the opportunity to provide approximately 2000 nutritious meals to children in private and public schools.

Over 90 cyclists of all ages and fitness levels, majority dressed in their FOF 2017 Commemorative Edition Cycling Jersey, gathered early Sunday morning, April 9th to cycle 100 miles around the island in an effort to combat childhood hunger, starting and ending at Ristorante Pappagallo in West Bay.

“FOF is very appreciative of the 3 year partnership with the Cycling Associations and hopes that this partnership and event will continue to grow to ensure that Feed Our Future can meet its main objective to provide nutritious meals to kids free of charge,” said Stacey VanDevelde, Feed Our Future Chairwoman.

“The CICA is extremely grateful for the support of our sponsors, partners, volunteers and participants as all funds raised will benefit Feed Our Future’s school meals programme, which continues to make a positive impact on the lives of children across the Cayman Islands,” said Craig Merren, President of the Cayman Islands Cycling Association.

The Cayman Islands Cycling Association organises various cycling events throughout the year. Companies interested in sponsorship opportunities may contact [email protected] or visit caymancycling.ky for further information.
