Three Men Charged with Drug Offences and Illegal Entry, 18 September

Three Jamaican Nationals, ages 31, 37, 53, have been charge under the Misuse of Drugs Law with Importation of a Controlled Drugs (ganja) and Possession of a Controlled Drug (ganja). The men were also charged with Illegal Entry under the  Immigration Law.

All three men will appear before the court today,  Mon 18 September.

 

Canoe intercepted Fri night, 15 September

Just before 11:00PM yesterday evening, 14 September, JMU officers on patrol off the eastern side of the Grand Cayman came upon a canoe from Jamaica; following a brief pursuit, during which packages were thrown overboard, the canoe was intercepted.  Three men were taken into custody on suspicion of importation, and large quantity of packages was recovered.  Caged roosters were also on board and confiscated.  The three men, all from Jamaica, are currently in Police custody.
