Firearms Incident in George Town, 19 December

At about 2:10AM today, 19 December, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of a bar on Seymour Road, George Town. Officers attended the location and recovered a number of spent shell casings in the vicinity. No persons appear to have been injured in the incident.

The matter is currently under investigation and anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.

Assault in George Town, 19 December

Shortly after 12:00AM today, 19 December, officers responded to a report of a serious assault at a bar on Martin Drive in George Town. It was reported that several men were involved in an altercation. A male received injuries to his head, arm and back, and was transported by ambulance to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment. He has subsequently been discharged.

The matter is currently under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
