PRODUCTIONS PITCH NIGHT AND SOCIAL THIS THU 29th SEPT!

We are currently timetabling our next few shows, and it is that time where we ask for production pitches from Producers/Directors. If you are a Producer/Director and you have a show you would like to put on then we would love to see you at our social (or you can apply and email us if you have worked with us before and can not make the date, applications can be found at: https://www.cds.ky/Staging-Productions).

Please note we are particularly looking for a musical for next year so if you are a Musical Director, or want to be, this is a slot we are definitely looking to fill!

If you are interested in Producing or Directing a show, but don’t know how it all works, then come along and we will talk you through the ins and outs of putting on a show with CDS. The same goes for wannabe Stage Managers, Tech Crew, and everything in between – come meet some Producers/Directors and see if you can help out with their show!

Doors will open at 6.30pm, and our production committee will be there to answer questions, listen to your ideas, and encourage you to the stage! At 7pm we will have a brief talk through the different roles of the Producer and Director, and answer any questions you may have. Production applications will be available on the night, and we also welcome you to attend and get to know people even if you don’t know what role you might fit in yet!

If you have any questions, or would like to make a pitch already, email [email protected]

Three sisters come together before their mother’s funeral, each haunted by their own demons. The play focuses on how each sister deals with the death and how it directly affects them. The three each have different and comedic memories of the same events, causing constant bickering about whose memories are true. As the three women get together after years of separation, all their hidden lies and self-betrayals are about to reach the surface. The play requires 4 female and 2 male actors and is characterised as a “tragi-comedy”.
