Cayman: COVID-19 Update – 10 February 2022, 468 NEW Positives for period 6 – 9  Feb

Public Health has released COVID-19 figures for 6 – 9  February 2022.

Positive cases reported to Public Health during this period are currently as follows:

07/02/2022         226

08/02/2022         180

09/02/2022         82 (final number pending) 

There are an estimated 5,316 active cases in the Cayman Islands. Fifteen persons were admitted to hospital at press time, 10 of which were unvaccinated.

The Sister Islands also noted 5 new cases since the last report, bringing total cases to 463.

NOTE: Public Health is responsible for compiling and continuously cleaning a 24/7 stream of data from all testing centres in the Islands. As such numbers reported at a particular time of day may be subject to fluctuation both upwards and downwards if new data arrives thereafter. The Public Health Department focuses its data cleaning efforts throughout the week on ensuring that the numbers in the weekly sitrep report that is published every Wednesday are as clean as possible.
