Cayman: Cabinet Post Meeting Summary 5 March 2024

Her Excellency the Governor Mrs. Jane Owen, chaired the meeting of the Cabinet held on Tuesday, 5th
March 2024 in the Cabinet Conference Room, Government Administration Building.

The Hon Minister for Youth, Sports and Heritage acted for the Hon Minister for Planning, Agriculture,
Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and Development. All other Ministers and Members of Cabinet were
present.

  • Confirmed approval granted by circulation on 26th February 2024 for the grant of a 24 ft vehicular
    easement over Crown land Block 38B Parcel 97;
  • Confirmed approval granted by circulation on 26th February 2024 for the proposed new public road
    as depicted by Boundary Plan 676;

    storage premises for Hazard Management Cayman Islands;

  • Approved the 2024 Statistical Publication and Dissemination Calendar and its publication;
  • Approved the 120th Anniversary of Cayman Registry commemorative stamp issue;
  • Approved the Coronation of HM King Charles III commemorative stamp issue;
  • Approved the repealing of the Immigration (Transition) (Work Permit Exemptions) Regulations,
    2020;
  • Advised the approval of the issuance of drafting instructions by the Portfolio of the Civil Service to
    amend the Personnel Regulations;
  • Approved in accordance with section 39(2) of the Public Authorities Act (2020 Revision) to
    exempt Statutory Authorities and Government Companies from paying-over to Core Government
    surplus cash reserves as at 31st December 2023; and
  • Noted and Approved the following changes to the Board of Directors of the Cayman Islands
    Development Bank:
    o Expiration of tenure of Rosalie Twohey and Lucille Seymour as Directors;
    o Resignation of Ingrid Simms as Deputy Chair;
    o Re-appointment of Mark Scotland, Chair; Daniel Reid, Deputy Chair; and Andrew
    McBean, Director;
    o Appointment of Rosalie Twohey, Director; Andrew Hulse, Director; and Cheyenna
    Calderon-Hoaglund, Director\
