Cayman Airways approved as a TSA PreCheck® airline

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced that Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) has been approved as a TSA PreCheck® participating airline.

TSA PreCheck lets eligible international and domestic travellers enjoy expedited security screening at participating U.S. airports, including the airports that CAL flies into – Miami (MIA), Tampa (TPA), New York (JFK), Denver (DEN) and Los Angeles (LAX). Passengers in the programme are able to skip having to remove shoes, belts, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, and light jackets, and have access to the expedited TSA PreCheck lane.

Travellers who are U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and U.S. lawful permanent residents, can apply for TSA PreCheck for a cost starting at $78 for a five-year membership. When new applicants are approved, they receive a unique “Known Traveler Number” (KTN) that, when added to an airline reservation, makes them eligible to use TSA PreCheck lanes at participating U.S. airport security checkpoints. Children aged 12 and under can join a parent/guardian with TSA PreCheck in the dedicated lanes. Children 17 and under can join an adult with TSA PreCheck when TSA PreCheck appears on the child’s boarding pass.

Passengers who are members of other DHS Trusted Traveler Programs including Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI may also be eligible for TSA PreCheck screening.

TSA PreCheck is an expedited screening program for low-risk travelers at more than 200 U.S. airports. Enrolled airline passengers should look for the TSA PreCheck indicator (such as TSAPRECHK, TSA PRE, or TSA Pre✓®) on their boarding pass to know if they are eligible for TSA PreCheck screening before their flight.
