From CARE – Cayman Animal Rescue Enthusiasts

We are sending this appeal out on behalf of Feline Friends. So we can help them find Ginger, Magic and Pepe their forever homes!

Magic & Pepe

These two loving, gentle 4 month old brothers are in desperate need of a forever home, super friendly and very playful bundles of purring cuteness!! It would be wonderful if they could be adopted into the same home and grow up together and remain best pals. Both boys are strong, clean and healthy. They have tested negative for feline aids (FIV) and feline leukemia (FELV) and have been given two of a series of three inoculations. Feline Friends will cover the cost of the remaining inoculation and neutering.

He was attacked by a dog but fortunately survived the ordeal with only a badly torn up hind leg. He has been stitched up, is healing well and is being cared for in a foster home. He is about six months old and is a most affectionate and gentle natured cat. He purrs constantly and loves his tummy to be scratched! He is extremely tidy using the litter tray and behaves as if he has been an indoor cat all his life. Sadly his foster Mom can only keep him for another week. He has SO much love to give and could make some lucky family very happy!

Ginger has been neutered, vaccinated and dewormed. He is very easy going and will adjust to a new home with or without other cats very quickly.

Please consider giving this poor boy a better chance in life by taking him into your heart & home – we are confident that you will be lovingly rewarded!

Can you help Checkers on her next step to happiness?

From CARE – Cayman Animal Rescue Enthusiasts

Our sweet girl Checkers is seeking your help.

You may recall our plea for help for this sweet girl back in February when she was suffering from a severe case of Demodex mange. Well fast forward 5 months and look at her now!   Doesn’t she just look fantastic!   Yesterday we were over the moon to get told by her vet that she has the all clear and she has a clean bill of health for her skin.

We now need to start seeking a forever home for this wonderful girl or a foster to adopt or a foster home for a 3 month period.

Sadly Checkers’s wonderful foster family are going to be leaving the island in a couple of weeks. Quite honestly we can’t say enough good things about this girl. She has a wonderful easy going personality, is not demanding at all. She is the perfect house dog, quite and content and happy to go along with the family whether it be chilling at home or going out playing. She is great with children, other dogs and an all round unnamed-4superstar. She has wonderful house manners and at 4 years old is a super cool, calm and collected dog.   She is spayed, vaccinated and is heartworm free. She has just been signed off from the vet for her skin but as a precautionary measure she will continue on with the oral medication and twice weekly baths for a further 2 months.   Unfortunately, Checkers does have a complaint with her left hip and so we are currently consulting with the vet on treatment options for this.   CARE will continue to sponsor all of her medical care whilst she is in a foster, or a foster to adopt scenario.

If you are seeking a wonderful dog that is very easy to handle, requires no training and has a super cool temperament then this is your girl! She is the perfect size weighing in at 42 lbs and is as pretty as a picture – jury is out on her breed mix but we are going for Collie / Beagle cross right now.

If you are interested in fostering Checkers – her current foster parents leave the Island at the beginning of July so we are looking for a place for Checkers to lay her hat and get her adopted. Maximum foster period is 3 months.

If you are interested in meeting Checkers or have any questions regarding Fostering, fostering to adopt or adopting this adorable girl please call 938 2273 or e-mail [email protected]

If you are unable to help personally then please consider forwarding this e-mail on and posting it on your bulletin boards at work so we can continue on with the drive on Checkers road to happiness.
