Camana Bay community chips in to raise CI$10,000 for youth mental health support

Golf tournament held Friday, 8 December saw 12 corporate teams participate to raise funds.

CBCGT 2023 winners – JTC Fund Services Ltd: JTC Fund Services Ltd emerged as winners of the 2nd Annual Camana Bay Corporate Golf Tournament.

GRAND CAYMAN: Members of the Camana Bay corporate community stepped away from their busy schedules for a day of fun, while raising CI$10,000 for the Alex Panton Foundation, which provides mental health support for young people in the Cayman Islands.

The funds were raised at the second annual Camana Bay Corporate Golf Tournament at the North Sound Golf Club on Friday, 8 December 2023. The event, which featured 12 four-player teams, was won by JTC Fund Services Ltd., with one of two RBC Royal Bank teams finishing second, followed by Deloitte in third.

As a result of their second-place finish, the highest among sponsors, the RBC Royal Bank team was given the opportunity to select a local charity to be the beneficiary. Other sponsors were B1, Cayman National Bank, Dart and Deloitte. The Alex Panton Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Organisation that focuses on providing advocacy, awareness, education and support to the community of the Cayman Islands.

Camana Bay Golf Tournament 2023 – Richie Singleton: Richie Singleton of Ogier won the Men’s Closest to the Pin prize.

“We asked for your assistance with committed sponsorships to allow us to make a collective impact as part of the Camana Bay corporate community on the lives of those in Cayman who need it most. We thank you for your donations as we have raised CI$10,000 in commitments this year,” said Dart Senior Property Manager, Jeffrey Wight. 

“Your support will benefit many children and young people in our community through the work of the Alex Panton Foundation which provides hope and resources to friends, family, teachers, classmates and carers to help save the lives of children and young adults struggling with mental illness.”

Participating teams were Appleby, B1, Bedell Cristin, Cayman National Bank, Dart, Deloitte, JTC Fund Services Ltd., Ogier, RBC Royal Bank and Tenet Bank.

Members of the winning JTC Fund Services Ltd. team were Bruce Smith, Graham Robinson, Connan Hill and Kai McGriele. Special prizes were awarded for the following: Ladies Closest to the Pin – Jenni Huys; Men’s Closest to the Pin – Richie Singleton; Men’s Longest Drive – Erol Babayigit and Ladies Longest Drive – Lara Conolly.
