BREAKING: Court blocks Penguin’s $2.2B Simon & Schuster deal

U.S. District Judge Florence Y. Pan on Monday issued an order blocking Penguin Random House LLC’s planned $2.18 billion purchase of Simon & Schuster, after finding the move would likely hurt competition in the market for the rights to anticipated top-selling books.
