Bould Consulting Limited participates in Clinton Global Initiative conference in Miami 7th August 2018 hosted by President Bill Clinton

Immediately following the devastation as a result of hurricanes Irma and Maria in the British Virgin Islands, the Turks and Caicos Islands and the US Virgin Islands Bould Consulting’s teams were on the ground to assist in the recovery efforts and to provide their expertise garnered in previous catastrophe events in the region to enable both private and public entities to reestablish life as normal as quickly as possible.

Given the scale of the catastrophe “thinking outside of the box” is essential and BCL have used their many contacts developed over the past 50 years of operating throughout the Caribbean to attempt to ensure the necessary expertise and facilitation is brought to bear.

As part of this process connections with the Clinton Global Initiative led to BCL’s Chairman Martyn Bould participating in a Commitment to Action conference at the University of Miami on 7th August 2018 along with Dancia Penn from the British Virgin Islands. Dancia, a practicing attorney and past Attorney General and Deputy Governor of the British Virgin Islands, has known Martyn for more than 20 years and shares a keen interest along with BCL to assist in any way to ensure the speedy and well planned recovery of the BVI.

The CGI Commitment to Action is a project developed and executed by Acton Network members that addresses a significant challenge in hurricane response and resiliency. Commitments serve as a tool to translate goals into practical and measureable action to advance recovery and promote long term resiliency across the Caribbean region. The CGI platform and staff offer support throughout the commitment development process and beyond, providing access, aligned partnerships, credibility, visibility and support.
