Big Brothers Big Sisters GAP floats with Marineland Tours

One weekend each month, unmatched children who are part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Cayman Islands’ (BBBS) programme get a chance to enjoy something a little different — for April it was a floating bus.

Courtesy of Marineland Tours, 12 children and eight adults enjoyed several hours of fun aboard the island’s only amphibious bus. Thanks to the company’s generous sponsorship another BBBS Group Activities Programme (GAP) was a floating success.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Cayman Islands serves children throughout Grand Cayman by providing mentors for those in need of extra time and attention from a caring adult.

The organisation’s GAP programme provides monthly outings for children who are awaiting mentors, and gives adult volunteers an opportunity to interact with the children until community or school-based mentors are identified as good matches for them.
