After ten show days, Auto Shanghai, one of the world’s biggest automotive trade fairs, comes to a successful end. From April 19-28, 2021, about 1,000 international car manufacturers, suppliers and technology companies presented their vision of the future of mobility at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center. In 12 halls at about 360,000 m² they showcased their latest cars, products, and intelligent solutions for the industry. Due to a strict hygiene and safety concept, it was also possible to open the doors for public visitors which was very well received on the public days. In total, Auto Shanghai 2021 attracted about 810,000 visitors.

According to the show’s motto “Embracing Change”, issues like electromobility, autonomous driving, connectivity and new mobility concepts were in the focus. Due to the ever-increasing importance of digitalization for the industry, more and more technology companies like Baidu, Huawei or DJI joined the car makers and suppliers in the trade fair halls. New energy vehicles (NEV) almost were a “must-have” for all car makers that revealed their new models and concept cars. Among them were also many newcomer brands that had their debut at Auto Shanghai, like Baic Arcfox, Evergrande Hengchi, Dongfeng Free, Baojun Valli, AAM, Alfmeier or FEV. Great progress had also been made regarding the possibilities of autonomous and connected driving.  

One can already be curious about what achievements the international automotive industry will show at the next Auto Shanghai in 2023!
