Bomb threat

Today at 4:15pm Police, Fire and other emergency personnel responded to the Ritz Carlton Hotel and Caribbean Club as a result of a bomb threat at both locations. Traffic diversions and other precautionary measures were put in place.

Both locations were searched but nothing suspicious was discovered.

 

Attempted Robbery

On Friday December 13th 2013 at around 5:30 pm a male reported that while leaving a bar on Martin Drive, George Town he was accosted from behind by a male armed with a machete.

The man demanded cash and used the machete to inflict injury to one of the man’s legs. He made off on foot behind the Globe Bar.  No description of the male could be provided.

No money was stolen during the altercation.
