An Easter Message of LOVE

EASTER MESSAGE TO ALL OUR READERS

Dear Readers of iEye News

Thank you for all your support over the last thirteen years. We first published on April 1st 2011.

Time flies when you are having fun!!!

We celebrate this milestone today on Easter Sunday. A most blessed day in our Christian Calendar.

According to the Washington Post:

“Five holidays and celebrations from different cultures and religions are being observed simultaneously or within days of one another: Holi, Nowruz, Easter, Purim and Ramadan.

S”o why are they falling so close together this year?

Nowruz marks the spring equinox, when day and night are of equal length, and so usually falls on or around March 20, while Western Christian churches celebrate Easter — and the Sunday before it, known as Palm Sunday — based on the first full moon after the equinox.

“Hinduism and Judaism, meanwhile, have lunar-solar calendars, meaning that while the dates of Holi and Purim may change on the Gregorian calendar, they still take place around the same time each year. Ramadan, on the other hand, is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, which is about 11 days shorter than the Gregorian calendar and so lands in different seasons over the years.

We are living in tragic times, the worst I can remember over my 80 plus years.

On this very special day to us, as Christians, we ALWAYS give thanks, for the life of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, who on Maundy Thursday said, “Just as I have love you, you also are to love one another.”

So we pass that message to all of you, no matter what faiths, beliefs or otherwise.

LOVE conquers all!!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we all LOVED ONE ANOTHER?

May that happen now. That is our wish to you all.

JO & CO, & CAR, too.

Joan, Colin and Carol-Ann Rudy.
