Afro Future Summit Gala Awards February 23, 2023

Our rambling reporter, Carol-Ann Rudy, represented iEyeNews this past Thursday, February 23 at the Afro Future Summit Gala Awards in New York City.

Of what importance is that to Cayman, and to the islands of the Caribbean, you may ask. Given that a substantial number of citizens lay claim to be Caymanians – 62% — and a full 23.9% of citizens of the Caymans are Black with another 41.3% Mixed, and throughout the Caribbean.

Afro Future Summit is the world’s most iconic summit curating an active network of black futurists, investors, tech entrepreneurs, celebrities, politicians and business moguls. Each year the program gathers thousands of pioneers from across the USA and around the world to address and tackle challenges that affect the people of African descent.
