The National Museum has lots of great events coming up in the next few weeks! So stop by and show your support for the Museum and Cayman’s traditional artisans; your participation will help the National Museum maintain their educational programmes and events. A pretty great cause if you ask us!

A Life at Sea

A Speaker Series event featuring Captain Paul Hurlston

6:00pm-7:30pm – Museum Audiovisual Theatre

360Retired South Sound sea captain Paul Hurlston is a household name in the Cayman Islands. In this in-conversation event, Captain Paul talks with us about his many years at sea working on large tankers, telling stories and speaking about navigational practices, the dangers of maritime life, time spent away from friends and family, and the people he met along the way.

$10 general admission, $6 Members (includes talk, refreshments, and all exhibits are open for viewing) *Space is limited, so contact the Museum at 949-8368 or [email protected] to reserve a space.

East End Looky Ya

April 25th 2013

10:00am – 2:00pm – Museum Courtyard

Join East End’s traditional artisans and cooks as we celebrate Caymanian heritage in the Museum’s courtyard at this bi-monthly event. Feast on traditional Caymanian food, check out thatch crafts, and meet East End’s net and rope makers. East End Primary joins the Museum at 1:15pm for a musical performance, following The Garden Club of Grand Cayman’s unveiling of new plants and signage in the Museum’s garden at 1pm!
