Cayman: Vet Clinic announces changes due to COVID-19

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are implementing the following changes to protect our employees, our clients and the wider community:

Effective today, March 19th 2020, our doors will be locked and we will be providing services through drop-off and parking lot waiting.

We ask that upon your arrival for your appointment, you please call the front desk (945-1242/925-5584).  Kindly respect your appointment time, please. You will give your pet’s history/complaints to the attending veterinarian/nurse via phone and then an employee will come to retrieve your pet from your vehicle. You will speak to a doctor via phone about your pet’s examination and medical plan. Payment will then be taken over the phone. An employee will then return your pet and it’s medications to your vehicle.

This similar procedure will apply for pet boarding and prescription refills.

 Walk-ins will be given appointment times.  All emergencies, however, will be addressed immediately and appropriately according to the same security measures mentioned above.

 If you are experiencing flu-like or respiratory symptoms and have an appointment for a routine/non-urgent visit, please reschedule your appointment for 30 days later.

 If you are returning from international travel and have an appointment for a routine/non-urgent visit, please reschedule your appointment for 14 days from when you arrived back into the Cayman Islands.

 The successful enforcement of these measures would reduce numbers in the reception area as well as protect all of us and the wider community from the rapid spread of this virus and it’s consequences.
