The basis for networked mobility and logistics is continuous network availability. 5G offers more bandwidth, lower latency and positioning that is accurate to the centimetre. And the standard can convert the huge amounts of data in real time that will be needed in the future for connected cars, autonomous driving and new mobility services. Prof. Dr. Johannes Springer, head of the 5G programme for the automotive sector at Deutsche Telekom talks about 5G in a video interview:
