2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Quarterfinals schedule confirmed

Road to the final will continue with the home and away Quarterfinals in March
Miami, FL – Concacaf has confirmed the schedule for the Quarterfinals of the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League (SCCL). The four matchups will take place on March 8 and 9 (first legs) and March 15 and 16 (second legs).

All Quarterfinal matches will be widely available for fans across the region to follow and enjoy through the Confederation’s TV partner networks, including FOX Sports (USA-English), TUDN (USA-Spanish), OneSoccer (Canada), Fox Sports Mexico (Mexico-Spanish), ESPN (Central America-Spanish), Flow Sports (Caribbean-English) and other local partners.

The first round of the region’s premier competition for clubs culminated last night in Mexico City and Seattle, with Cruz Azul (MEX) and Seattle Sounders FC (USA) advancing to the next round.  These two clubs have joined CF Montreal (CAN), Club Leon (MEX), New York City FC (USA), Comunicaciones FC (GUA), Pumas UNAM (MEX), and New England Revolution (USA) who had already secured their place in the quarterfinals.

Per the competition regulations, the Round of 16 winners of matchups 1, 3, 5, and 7 will play the second leg Quarterfinals at home (the below graphics show the matchup numbers and each club’s road to the final).

The Quarterfinals will be followed by home and away semifinal matches in April, and a two-leg final in late April and early May.

2022 SCCL Schedule Windows

Semifinals: April 5-7 (first legs) and April 12-14 (second legs)
Finals: April 26-28 (first leg) and May 3-5 (second leg)

For the Semifinals and Finals, the second leg matches will be hosted by the best performing club in each series. This will be determined based on wins, draws and, if required, goal difference, in the earlier rounds of the 2022 SCCL.

The winner of this elite club competition will be crowned regional club champion and will represent the confederation at the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup (FCWC). The current SCCL champion is CF Monterrey (MEX) after they defeated fellow Liga MX side Club America 1-0 in the 2021 SCCL Final.
