Tip top teen queen Brooke

In a glitzy evening ceremony Ms. Brooke Parchment was crowned Miss Teen Cayman 2011 – 2012.

The pageant was held on Saturday August 27, at the Lion’s Community Centre was hosted by the Leo Club of Grand Cayman.

Ms. Brooke Parchment is about to enter the final year of her high school studies at the St. Ignatius High School and hopes one day to become a corporate lawyer.

She is looking forward to all of the responsibilities that will come her way in the next year, in particularly advocating her platform, which is bullying among teenagers.

The teen beauty will also have the opportunity to represent the Cayman Islands in several international Miss Teen awards..

Ms. Parchment said, “I feel very excited and overwhelmed. All the girls had the characteristics for a Miss Teen and I know the judges had a hard time because we all had an equal chance of winning.

“I feel proud to know that I am now an ambassador for my country and I feel really confident that I will do well during my reign as Miss Teen.

Ms. Parchment went onto describe the outfits she wore for each of the evenings categories.

“For my casual wear I wore a one-shoulder leopard print dress and for my talent I wore a dark purple one-shoulder dress. For the swimwear section I wore a zebra print tankini by Victoria Secret and for my formal I wore a brown sequined covered gown by Fernando Wong.

“To prepare we had tutoring everyday for nearly three months with our pageant coach Nicosia Lawson. We also had lessons in public speaking in which we attended the Toastmasters for the month of June.’

“I would like to say congrats to all my pageant sisters for doing so well on the night. We are all winners.

“Thanks to the pageant coach Nicosia Lawson for all of her hard work, support and training. I would also like to say thank you to Ms. Jamie Rogers for all of her support, long hours of work and her dedication.

“Thanks to Ms. Leann Ritch the 2010-2011 Miss Teen for all of her useful information and motivational speeches.

“I would like to say thank you to my family for always being there for me and giving me the support and encouragement to enter Miss Teen.

“And last but not least I would like to thank my sponsor Pro Plus Gardening Services Ltd because without them this would not be possible.”

Miss Teen Chairperson, Jamie Rogers added, “This past weekend marked the culmination of months of hard work and dedication on the part of every individual involved in the process which made the night a great success.  As chairperson for this year’s pageant, I am extremely proud to have been given this opportunity and I take great pride in the crowning of our 33rd Miss Teen Cayman Islands.”

Most Improved: Winner – Nicole Martin

Academic of Excellence Award: Winner – Mariah Tibbetts

Iliana De La Cruz Community Spirit Award: Winner – Mariah Tibbetts

People’s Choice Award: Winner – Mariah Tibbetts

Overall Winners were;
