Cayman: National Trust celebrates 7th Annual Hatitude Fundraiser

21th January, 2020 – On Saturday 1st February, the National Trust will host it’s seventh annual Hatitude fundraiser at the Grand Old House in support of protecting and preserving Cayman’s wild environments and the flora and fauna that live within.

Every year, the Trust themes its family-friendly event to bring awareness to Cayman’s unique and delicate natural environment; this year’s theme is ‘Tea by the Sea.’ A fitting theme that ties into Cayman’s strong connection to our precious maritime heritage, beautiful blue seas, coral reefs and incredible marine life.

Hatitude guests are encouraged to be inspired by the maritime theme and create their own hats or wear hats that fit within the chosen theme. Participants are encouraged to participate in the Best in Hat awards for female, male and child category.

This year Mercedes-Benz very kindly came on as headline sponsor, adding more fun to the event and will be offering a special raffle prize. Mercedes-Benz will importantly be highlighting their new environmentally friendly hybrid vehicles demonstrating that you can be earth friendly while still enjoying a classy ride. There will be wonderful entertainment provided by Danny Loops along with the popular Party Booth and a dedicated kids Craft Corner by Tweenage Dreams to keep the young attendees amused while parents relax and enjoy the afternoon. Attendees will also be able to enter to win raffle prizes thanks to many kind donations from local businesses.

Attendees will enjoy a wonderful high tea menu, prepared by Grand Old House featuring sweet and savory bites, quiches, mini sandwiches, scones and a selection of desserts. All this tasty food will be complemented by Prosecco thanks to sponsor Jacques Scott, teas from Tea Time in Cayman kindly sponsored by the CI Shipping Registry.
