Cayman: Late night shopping, pre-launch and book signing at National Museum

Last minute shoppers enjoyed Free Admission to the Cayman Islands National Museum (“CINM” or “National Museum”) on Wednesday, 11 December 2019 from 5-8pm. During the 3-hour period, visitors browsed the Museum’s unique Gift Shop – purchasing a variety of locally handcrafted items, toured the National Museum, got their gifts wrapped, and enjoyed complimentary refreshments while waiting to get their book signed by local author and Museum Director, Dr. Margaret Leshikar-Denton.

Dr. Leshikar-Denton has been working tirelessly over the past few years to publish the true story of Cayman’s famous shipwreck.Cayman’s 1794 Wreck of the Ten Sail: Peace, War, and Peril in the Caribbean weaves together rich oral folklore accounts with supporting documents found in archives in the U.K., Jamaica, and France, as well as tangible evidence of the disaster from the wreck site on the reefs of East End.
