Cayman Islands: West Bay woman arrested after assault incident in George Town, 6 February

Just before 2AM this morning, 6 February, police were informed that a man had attended the Hospital for treatment, after sustaining a stab wound to the chest.

Officer attended the Hospital and spoke with doctors who said the man had sustained serious injury but is now stable.  Investigations led officers to discover that the man was stabbed after being in an altercation with a woman known to him at the Cotton Club on Shedden Road, George Town.

The 26-year-old-woman of West Bay was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault GBH, where she is currently in custody pending further investigation.

Police are asking that anyone with information regarding this incident to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
