The man, age 39 of West Bay, who was arrested in relation to the below incident, has now been charged with Criminal Trespass, Common Assault, and Breach of Curfew. He appears in court this morning, 6 April, via video link.

Man Arrested for George Town Burglary, 3 April

Shortly after 7:40PM on Tuesday, 31 March, officers were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a burglary report at an address on South Church Street, George Town. A man unlawfully entered the residence, and was observed by the occupant who confronted him. A struggle ensued, and the man then fled the premises on foot.

Yesterday, 2 April, officers arrested a man, age 39 of West Bay, on suspicion of burglary and common assault, in relation to the incident. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
