Jennifer Parsons joins Mourant Ozannes in the Cayman Islands as Counsel

tJennifer ParsonsLeading offshore law firm, Mourant Ozannes, has announced that Jennifer Parsons has joined the firm as Counsel. She will be based in the firm’s Cayman Islands office and will be part of the Corporate and Investment Funds practices.

Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of the establishment and ongoing operations of investment funds, Cayman Islands’ Companies Law and corporate governance. She also has experience in mergers and acquisitions and regulatory law.

Head of the Corporate practice in the Cayman Islands, partner Hayden Isbister, said: “Jennifer will be a great asset to the firm and we’re delighted to welcome such an experienced and well regarded individual to the team.”

Prior to joining Mourant Ozannes, Jennifer spent seven years with a leading offshore law firm in the Cayman Islands. Her primary focus and experience has been in investment funds, securities investment business and corporate and commercial work, and she has written extensively on these topics. Jennifer is active in a number of industry associations and organisations, including the Cayman Islands Law Society and the Cayman Chapter of 100 Women in Hedge Funds.

Jennifer completed her legal training at Cox & Palmer in Nova Scotia, Canada qualifying as a Barrister in 2000. She spent six years as an Associate with that firm before moving in-house to serve as Corporate Counsel for CACEIS (Canada) Limited until September 2008, at which time she relocated to the Cayman Islands.
