HBO announces exclusive movie premieres in February

THE_FAMILY_2013Miami, FL – January 21, 2015 – HBO brings viewers in the Caribbean an exclusive movie premiere each Saturday at 21:00 AST* during the month of February, including The Family, Grudge Match, Need for Speed and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The Family (Saturday, February 7th) is a crime comedy directed by Luc Besson, based on Tonino Benacquista’s novel “Badfellas.” After moving to France under an FBI witness protection program, an American mafia family goes through a rough time adapting to their new lifestyle. Unfortunately, forgetting old habits proves to be more difficult than they thought. The films stars Robert De Niro (Fred Blake/Giovanni Manzoni), Michelle Pfeiffer (Maggie Blake/Manzoni), Dianna Agron (Belle Blake/Manzoni), John D’Leo (Warren Blake/Manzoni) and Tommy Lee Jones (Robert Stansfield).

grudge-match-blu-ray-cover-46Directed by Peter Segal, Grudge Match (Saturday, February 14th) is a sports comedy about two Pittsburgh boxers, Billy “The Kid” McDonnen (Robert De Niro) and Henry “Razor” Sharp (Sylvester Stallone), who shared a fierce rivalry during the 1980s. Each had two victorious matches, but on the night before their final round, Henry suddenly announced his retirement, ending both boxers’ careers. Now, thirty years later, Billy and Henry return to the ring to settle their final score once and for all. The film also stars Kevin Hart (Dante Slate, Jr.), Alan Arkin (Louis “Lightning” Conlon), Kim Basinger (Sally), John Bernthal (B.J) and Camden Gray (Trey).

Based on the video game of the same name, Need for Speed (Saturday, February 21st) is an action film directed by Scott Waugh. Soon after, a tragic accident lands Tobey in prison after Dino frames him; when Tobey is released two years later, he seeks to avenge his friend Pete’s death. The film also features performances by Imogen Poots (Julia Maddon), Scott Mescudi (Benny Maverick), Rami Malek (Finn) and Ramon Rodriguez (Joe Peck), among others.

Marvel® superhero Captain America returns in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Saturday, February 28th), directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Two years after the battle in New York with his fellow Avengers, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) – better known as Captain America – lives Captain-America-The-Winter-Soldier-Poster-HD-High-Definitionquietly in Washington, DC, working for espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D. Now sent on a mission with agent Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), also known as Black Widow, and new ally Falcon (Anthony Mackie), to free hostages aboard one of their vessels, the team struggles to expose a complex conspiracy and unexpectedly stumbles upon an unexpected enemy: the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).
