Man stabbed during assault

A man received stab wounds following a fight outside a bar in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is thought that the victim was refused entry to Jah T’s on McField Lane just before 1am.

A fight then started and the man, a 42 year old, received multiple stab wounds to his body. He was taken to George Town Hospital.

A spokesman for the RCIPS said: “At about 12:49 AM on 20th November 2011 911 received a report that a 42-year-old male had been physically assaulted by a few males on the outside of a George Town business.

“Apparently, the victim went to the place, but he was not welcomed by his assailants and a fight ensued. As a result of the fight, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds, lacerations and bruises to various parts of his body.

“The Police and medics personnel attended the scene, and the victim was transported to the George Town Hospital where he was admitted and medically treated for his injuries, which are non-life threatening. At about 11:00 AM today the Hospital discharged the victim.”
