Savannah United Church “Young Voices in Praise” Christmas Cantata

“The Light has Come”

The final Christmas presentation for this year at Savannah United Church was truly a joyous occasion. Anytime young people are involved, you know that no matter what happens, you will be entertained.

From the opening” O Come all Ye Faithful” to the final offering by the “Little Kids”, we were engaged. It was amazing how this group of young people were able to remember and perform all the carols with the different arrangements. Each child sang at the right time even when there were many singers featured.

The 3 narrators did an excellent job of setting the scene before each carol was sung. With singers, narrators, the Youth Band and the Youth Instrumental Band, over 30 young people were involved and they each displayed the hard work that had gone into the presentation.

A round of applause is due to Mrs. Kimia Hemmings, the Youth Choir Director, and as well to Mr. Noel Wallace, the Music Director, and to all the children and young people involved who did a fabulous job.

We all eagerly await their next presentation.
