GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands (PRWEB) March 09, 2018

Scotiabank, a Canadian retail bank with the largest footprint in the Caribbean with operations in 23 countries, is moving its Cayman Islands main branch to 18 Forum Lane in Camana Bay on Grand Cayman.

18 Forum Lane is the recent recipient of the Cayman Islands Governor’s Award for Design and Construction Excellence and the first LEED Gold certified Class A office building in the Caribbean. It offers 85,000 square foot of leasing space.

Scotiabank’s new digital branch facility – Scotia Centre – will occupy approximately 19,000 square feet of space over two floors on prime Grand Cayman commercial real estate.

“With its long history in the Caribbean and the Cayman Islands offering premier banking services, we are pleased to welcome Scotiabank to the Camana Bay community,” said Jackie Doak, president of Dart Real Estate. “Scotiabank’s decision to open the country’s first fully-digital branch in Camana Bay underlines our mutual commitment to the Cayman Islands and providing customers and tenants alike access to world-class amenities.”

Camana Bay’s commercial portfolio offers more than 650,000 square feet of Class A commercial office space with office suites overlooking landscaped courtyards and views of both the Caribbean Sea and the North Sound.

Corporate demand for sustainably designed Class A office space has positioned Camana Bay as a hub for financial services with major international law, accounting and reinsurance firms choosing to locate their Cayman Islands operations here.

“Camana Bay provides a number of benefits for both our staff and our customers. The new branch provides a central location, free and accessible parking and modern facilities in close proximity to necessary amenities,” said Dwight Burrows, Managing Director, Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd.

These amenities include access to more than 300 parking spaces adjacent to 18 Forum Lane, as well as walking distance for residents, tenants and visitors to shops, restaurants, fitness and medical facilites and Grand Cayman’s only cinema, the Camana Bay Cinema.

Scotia Centre at Camana Bay will be the first fully-digital banking branch in the Cayman Islands and one of only four Scotiabank digital branches in the Caribbean. It is expected to feature an on-site banking concierge, social hubs and modern branch facilities.

Scotiabank will enhance Camana Bay’s financial service offerings as it joins Cayman National Bank as the second retail bank to relocate to Camana Bay, giving tenants and visitors access to convenient banking options.
