I wish to go to the Cayman Islands

rileylarge.wishes.largeRiley is a 15-year old girl from Connecticut.  While you may never know it, Riley has had to endure the hardships that come with a life-threatening medical condition, including hospital visits, doctor appointments, uncomfortable medical treatments, and above all else, precious time away from her friends and family. Riley has a deep love of the ocean and the outdoors, so the day-to-day struggles that her condition forced her into were a tough thing to bear, especially for a 15-year-old girl with the world at her fingertips.

I WishWhen Riley found out she would be granted her one true wish, she knew this was the chance of a lifetime to do something extraordinary and unique that so many people don’t get the chance to experience. Riley took her love of the outdoors and adventure, and she wished to go to the Grand Cayman Islands!

I Wish 1A note from Riley’s mother upon their return summed up their wish perfectly:

Thank you for making Riley’s wish come true!  I can’t tell you how much fun the scuba experience was for Riley and myself. The fish, the reef colors, and the challenge of becoming certified were quite memorable! The whole family had a great time as well exploring the island and enjoying the crystal clear waters. Thank you again for everything. Make-A-Wish is a tremendous organization that provides a much needed break from the rigors of treatment and a celebration after treatment to very deserving children and families. Thank You Make-A-Wish!!!
