HFR is proud to present its Spring 2013 runway show featuring an influential force in fashion, Kevan Hall, exclusively on Friday, September 7th at 8:00 P.M. at Jazz Lincoln Center. Hall, a 2012 Harlem’s Fashion Row honoree, will unveil his new collection to major media outlets, celebrities, socialites, and industry tastemakers. Detroit native, Kevan Hall’s fashion creativity emerged early, redefining the hallowed house of Halston into the next millennium was a challenging task, but Hall stepped into the prestigious position of Design and Creative Director, from Fall 1998 to Spring 2000 and revived the brand to its former glory. His sleek eveningwear was worn by a distinguished coterie of celebrated artists including: Celine Dion, Sharon Stone, Charlize Theron, and Salma Hayek.

“I am honored to show my Spring 2013 collection at HRF’s 5th anniversary fashion show. It is an exciting showcase that provides designers the opportunity to gain exposure to the fashion industry and I am thrilled to be a part of this celebration.” Hall stated.

This opportunity is sponsored completely by HFR contributors and supporters. The following celebrated designers were selected among forty unique candidates and will debut their SS13 collections:

• Joseph Bethune Bethune Brothers is detailed with stitching that displays a tailored craftsmanship, both stylish and wearable; giving man clothing that fits the different elements of his life style.
• Latisha L. Daring The Ashtyn collection speaks to every woman and her sense of style. Self-expression through form and fit are key elements of this brand.
• Omar Salam In the Su Kei Na collection, the colors are vivid, while the fabrics are delicate, lush and elegant. Salam design etiquette tends to be very happy, flirty, and playful, mimicking nature, feathers, wings, or movement in the deep ocean.
• Nzinga Knight This collection is sensual; she’s edgy, mysterious, glamorous, and full of ease and grace.
