Emerging trends in Cayman Islands healthcare to be discussed
Always delivering up-to-date information on the latest developments in healthcare, this year’s Cayman Islands Healthcare Conference, which takes place from 29 to 31 October, 2015 will be embracing emerging trends in healthcare, with a strong focus on mental health, palliative care and allied healthcare.
Taking place at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, this is the sixth annual Cayman Islands Healthcare Conference and with 800 delegates at last year’s conference, organisers are expecting this to be another important event for the country.
As in previous years, the event will be offered free of cost to attendees, thanks to the support of a wide range of sponsors. Having supported the Conference since its inception, Tenet Healthcare, one of the largest investor-owned health care delivery systems in the United States, is again the Healthcare Conference’s Premium Plus Sponsor.
Craig Bloom, Chief Business Development Officer for Tenet Healthcare’s Florida region said the organisation was very pleased to continue its support of Cayman’s annual Healthcare Conference.
“Keeping current with emerging trends in healthcare is beneficial for healthcare systems, and we are happy to continue our support of the Cayman Islands Healthcare Conference,” Mr Bloom said. “Every year, the Healthcare Conference expands, and this event allows all attendees to engage in thought-provoking conversations with colleagues that will ultimately benefit their patients.”
Premier and Minister of Health, Hon Alden McLaughlin, congratulated the organisers on their ability to offer constantly new and innovative material every year.
“The Cayman Island’s Healthcare Conference has developed into a leading healthcare event for the Caribbean region by providing a continuous supply of cutting edge information, and thereby successfully attracting speakers and delegates from all over the world,” he said. “Organisers have also managed to ensure there is a high quality selection of sponsors on board to underpin the strength of the event. I congratulate everyone who works so hard to make the conference the tremendous success that it is every year and very much look forward to attending this year’s event.”
Lizzette Yearwood, Chair of the Conference Planning Committee and CEO of the Health Services Authority, said the event continues to offer valuable healthcare information to all of the delegates over the three days.
“We strategically choose our topics and speakers to convey messages to attendees that will not only be engaging, but provide inspiring words and knowledge to take back to the home or workplace,” Ms Yearwood said. “We hope this conference will continue to better the lives and health of individuals as well as the Cayman community as whole.”
Along with Tenet as the Premium Plus sponsor, Cocktail Reception Sponsor is Ironshore Pharmaceuticals and Premium Sponsors include the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority, Tower, Dart and BAF Insurance. Other sponsors include Cleveland Clinic Florida, Baptist Health International, BritCay, Jackson International, Broward Health International, The Wellness Centre, Fidelity and Generali.
There are still a range of sponsorship opportunities available for the conference. Sponsorship package details can be found on the conference website at www.healthcareconference.ky.
