Coalition For Cayman launches anti-corruption ad campaign

Stop CorruptionC4C: “We cannot let politicians continue to grow a culture of corruption in our government”

Coalition for Cayman (C4C) is launching an anti-corruption advertising campaign urging Caymanian voters to refrain from selling their votes to political candidates. The advertising campaign will consist of a television ad titled “Appliances” and radio ads in the coming days.

“As an advocate for good government, Coalition for Cayman believes the first step to restoring the public’s trust in our democracy is ending the dishonest practice of vote buying,” said C4C. “The fact is, trading your vote is not only illegal, it also allows unethical politicians to grow a culture of corruption in our government.”

“As an advocacy group, our role is to protect the future of Cayman by supporting and promoting Country First leadership, and electing the right leaders begins by electing honest leaders,” added C4C.

The copy for the “Appliances” television ad is below:

“A sparkling new refrigerator. Microwaves. Even frozen turkeys. These are what our political parties are giving away trying to buy your vote.

But selling your vote is illegal. And it comes with a heavy price … as wasteful politicians keep spending and spending. Now every Caymanian owes $30,000 of our national debt.

Stop the corruption. Don’t sell your vote to a politician. Visit

CoalitionForCayman.KY and put Country First.”
