Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence Film to Make Caribbean Premiere at CayFilm International Film Festival

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – “Serena”, a gripping, entertaining drama starring Academy Award® winner Jennifer Lawrence and Academy Award® nominee Bradley Cooper, will make its Caribbean debut at the CayFilm Cayman International Film Festival on Thursday, 18 June during an exclusive movie premiere event at Regal Cinemas, and a star-studded VIP after party hosted by Camana Bay and Grey Goose.

The Magnolia Pictures release – which premiered at the London Film Festival in October and in the US at select theatres in March – is set in the North Carolina Mountains at the end of the 1920s. Cooper, who is best known for his breakout role in Virgin Produced’s film “Limitless” plays George Pemberton and Lawrence of “Hunger Games” fame plays his wife Serena. The two love-struck newly-weds build a timber empire, and with power and influence in their hands, refuse to let anyone stand in the way of their inflated love and ambitions. However, it all begins to unravel, leading toward a dramatic reckoning once Serena discovers George’s hidden past and faces an unchangeable fate of her own.

“The movie “Serena” has been described by critics as delightful, fascinating, courageous, absorbing, and we are so excited to be able to bring it to Cayman’s big screen for the official opening of the CayFilm Cayman International Film Festival,” said Festival Director Tony Mark. “This is just one of the amazing films that will be screened over the Festival weekend. There are another 200 from 50-plus countries and a variety of genres. This is every film lover’s dream and we hope the public will take advantage of this unique opportunity.”
