Chinese Vice Premier arrives in Kingston

Vice-premier of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Hui Liangyu arrives at the Norman Manley International Airport.

The vice-premier of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Hui Liangyu has arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport for several official engagements.

Hui arrived in Montego Bay Sunday (18) to start his four-day working visit to Jamaica.

At 3:25 Monday, called on Governor General Sir Patrick Allen, before meeting Prime Minister Bruce Golding at 4 pm.

Hui and Golding will later sign several agreements, before hosting a joint press briefing at Jamaica House.

This is the first official high-level visit to Jamaica by a Chinese government official since the visit of Vice President XI Jinping in February 2009.
