UPDATE: Police Confirm Identity of Deceased in Linford Pierson Highway Fatal Collision, 4 August

UPDATE (4 August):
Police can now confirm the identity of the deceased in the fatal collision which occurred on Sunday, 27 July, on the Linford Pierson Highway. He is 29-year-old Kheon Robinson, of Bodden Town.
The RCIPS once again expresses condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
Initial Release (28 July):
Just after 11:00 PM on Sunday, 27 July, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to the Linford Pierson Highway, George Town, where it was reported that a single-vehicle collision had occurred involving a motorcycle.
It was reported that the motorcycle, carrying one occupant, was travelling west on Linford Pierson when the rider appeared to have lost control of the vehicle and collided with the trees and shrubs in the area.
The police, along with Emergency Medical Services and the Cayman Islands Fire Service, attended the location and the rider of the motorcycle was immediately attended to. A medical doctor also attended the location, and the rider was subsequently pronounced deceased. The RCIPS extends deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.
The fatal collision is being investigated by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit, and anyone with information is being asked to call 649-6254 during business hours or the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
