The police are advising the public of traffic changes to facilitate the 57th Cayman Agriculture Show on Wednesday, 18 February. Motorists travelling along Shamrock Road and Agricola Drive are encouraged to review the following information and plan accordingly.

Traffic officers and attendants will be present to direct vehicles.

Event Entrances
There will be two designated entrances to the show grounds:

  1.  Agricola Drive – for motorists travelling westbound (from Eastern Districts)

  2.  Armstrong Drive onto Lottery Road – for motorists travelling eastbound (from George Town and West Bay)

Motorists Travelling East on the East-West Arterial (Towards the Eastern Districts)

  1.  Motorists travelling east via the East-West Agricola Connector from the Hirst Road and Rex Crighton Boulevard junction should exit left onto Shamrock Road.

  2.  Motorists attending the Agriculture Show will move into the right lane just after passing the Watershed Circle exit/entrance on East-West Agricola Connector. (Signage and an officer will be in place). Motorists will then continue to the roundabout on Shamrock Road and proceed onto Agricola Drive.

Motorists Travelling East on Shamrock Road

  1.  Motorists traveling east on Shamrock Road should use one of the two designated lanes from the vicinity of Daniel Drive to Agricola Drive

  2. Left lane: For traffic continuing toward Bodden Town

  3.  Centre lane: For traffic attending the Agriculture Show. Vehicles will turn right onto Armstrong Drive to access parking.

  4. VIP vehicles: Should also use the centre lane from the vicinity of Walbridge Drive to Agricola Drive.

Motorists travelling towards the Eastern Districts are strongly advised to use the East-West Agricola Connector and avoid travelling via Shamrock Road. Motorists travelling along Shamrock Road past Agricola Drive are advised to expect delays, as priority will be given to vehicles travelling to the event.

Motorists Heading West (Towards George Town)
Two lanes will be established for westbound traffic from the vicinity of Trumbach Drive to Daniel Drive:

  1.  Traffic heading toward George Town should use the centre lane to Agricola Drive, then move into the left lane after passing Daniel Drive.

  2.  Westbound vehicles will not be permitted to turn right onto the East-West Agricola Connector toward Hirst Road.

  3.  Westbound traffic heading to the show should stay in the left lane.

  4. The left lane from Trumbach Drive up to Daniel Drive will be reserved for traffic heading to the Agriculture Show and nearby local access points.

  5.  Parking attendants will be present to guide motorists to designated parking areas.

Exiting the Event

  1.  All vehicles leaving the show will exit via Lottery Road onto Daniel Drive then onto Shamrock Road.

Motorists should expect increased traffic in the area and are encouraged to allow extra travel time. Please follow posted signage and directions from police officers to ensure a safe and orderly event for everyone attending.

The RCIPS thanks the public for their cooperation.
