The summit brings together island stakeholders from around the world across government, business, academia, and civil society, all working toward a more sustainable, resilient island future.

We’ll open the week with an unmissable Opening Ceremony.
Among the voices kicking things off is Mike Eman, Prime Minister of Aruba, returning to the summit seven years after first speaking at VIS. Now back in office, he’ll share how Aruba is embedding sustainability at the core of its new economic strategy, shifting development toward long-term resilience and what he calls “returns and legacy.”

We’re also unveiling something new: a professional course built for island professionals.
The Sustainable Islands Course: Strategies, Finance & Leadership for Innovation is the first credential of its kind focused on sustainable economic development in island contexts. Participants will join live sessions, expert-led masterclasses, and peer discussions designed to turn environmental and social strengths into drivers of investment and prosperity. Graduates receive a certificate, build practical work samples, and join a global network of peers working across island regions.
You’ll be the first to hear all the details at the Opening Ceremony.
