VIS2025: Island Leadership in Focus
Mike Eman, Aruba’s Prime Minister, returns as a speaker for the Virtual Island Summit seven years after speaking at its inaugural edition. Eman’s vision for Aruba blends economic growth with environmental stewardship, positioning the island as a model for other Small Island Developing States (SIDS) facing similar challenges. Central to this vision is an ambitious initiative to establish a biosphere reserve encompassing the entire island, a bold effort to protect Aruba’s natural assets while creating new opportunities in eco-tourism and sustainable industries.
