What I Shared… What I Learned
In conversation and ceremony, I offered:
Leadership is not performance. It’s pulse.
Succession is not a checklist. It’s a sacred continuum.
Legacy isn’t memory, it’s living rhythm.
Yet my greatest gifts were what I received:
Collective leadership aligns and uplifts when listening balances teaching.
Succession thrives when cultural care meets institutional structure.
Diaspora–continent exchange seeds evolving ecosystems.

More Than Gathering – A Realignment
This assembly was a realignment, a recalibration of interconnected purpose and care.
My deepest gratitude to Charlotte Ashamu, Director of International Programs at Yale IPCH, and her stellar team, including Michaellah Bombata, Rehima Issa, and Angela Nzegwu for creating a space where culture, history, stewardship, and values take center stage. Additionally the other presenting guests were: Dr.
Jeanne Maddox Toungara, Regina Bain, Gana Ndiaye, Lydia Buthello, Anupam Sah, Mark Arunson, Sandara Aya Enimil, Kendall Francis, and Mae-Ling Lokko.

Affirmation of the Month
“I am the seed, the soil, the branch, and the bloom.
I breathe with purpose. I give what I am built to offer.
Together, we rise—rooted, regenerative, radiant.”
