ReConnect 2026 Agenda Announced, Reinforcing Senior-level Reinsurance Dialogue in Cayman

Cayman Islands – CIRCA is excited to reveal the agenda for ReConnect 2026, the annual international reinsurance conference hosted by the Cayman International Reinsurance Companies Association (CIRCA).

The conference will take place April 16-17, 2026 at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, bringing together senior executives and capital providers from multiple jurisdictions.

Launched in 2023, ReConnect was created as a dedicated forum for senior-level discussion on reinsurance.  ReConnect 2025 welcomed 650 delegates representing more than 210 companies across nine countries, reflecting broad international participation and senior-level representation across the sector, including C-suite executives, chief actuaries, risk leaders and capital providers.

The first day focuses on Cayman’s reinsurance ecosystem through the expanded “Discover Cayman” sessions, broadened for 2026. Discussions will examine licensing pathways and capital requirements, regulatory engagement and supervisory expectations, and practical considerations for establishing and operating in Cayman. The sessions are designed to provide clarity for prospective entrants, advisors and capital partners, with access to regulators and experienced market participants.

The second day turns to international developments shaping reinsurance markets. Discussions will examine regulatory and actuarial developments, capital partnerships and long-term risk transfer, geopolitical and climate-related considerations, and the practical adoption of data and AI in (re)insurance operations.

The programme includes a keynote address by Hon. André M. Ebanks, MP, Premier and Minister for Financial Services and Commerce, and a featured conversation with Mrs. Cindy Scotland, OBE, Chief Executive Officer of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.

Steve Papciak, Chair of ReConnect steering committee, said the agenda reflects the conference’s purpose:

“ReConnect is carefully curated for a senior audience. The programme is designed to support informed discussion on how reinsurance markets are evolving, with time built in for meaningful engagement between industry leaders.”

Networking is integrated throughout the two days, with structured activities and dedicated time for engagement among delegates.

ReConnect 2026 is supported by a wide range of industry sponsors across the reinsurance and financial services community. Premium Sponsors for 2026 are the Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce with the Office of the Premier, Cayman Finance and Camana Bay.
