Nigel Rojas Introduces Afrobeat-Inspired Sound With Thought-Provoking New Single “Too Many”

POS, Trinidad (Sonique Solutions) – Nigel Rojas, frontman of the iconic Caribbean Reggae-Rock band Orange Sky, has released his compelling new single “Too Many”, a track infused with Afrobeat energy and grounded in profound emotional and global awareness. The song arrives as the latest chapter in the singer-songwriter’s creative evolution, leading into the band’s 30th anniversary EP set for release in April 2026.
“Too Many” was born from a striking three-minute moment of contrast; one that blended beauty, fragility, and the heartbreak of global conflict.
Rojas recalls watching a butterfly rest motionless on his windowsill, believing it to be injured, only to see it suddenly lift into the sky. As birds chirped outside, a news broadcast abruptly cut through the peaceful scene with reports of bombings in Gaza and innocent lives lost.

“It was this ambush of emotion, the sweetness of nature and the harshness of reality that instantly inspired the song,” said Rojas.
Best known for fusing Rock and Reggae, Rojas steps into a fresh sonic space with “Too Many,” introducing an Afrobeat-inspired groove that still feels unmistakably authentic to the his musical identity. “This track has an Afrobeat kinda thing about it,” he explained. “It’s different from what people expect from Orange Sky, but it’s 100% me.”
Produced by Nigerian Afro-rhythms specialist Skimzea, mixed & mastered by Aaron Marques, with executive production by Apex Advertising Caribbean, the track remains lyrically based in the ethos that has defined Orange Sky’s artistry for decades i.e. truth, compassion, and unfiltered honesty.

Since early previews, the response from fans, peers, and industry insiders has been overwhelmingly positive. “It’s very catchy and it provokes thought,” Rojas notes, acknowledging that listeners have already connected deeply with both its rhythm and its message.
At its core, “Too Many” reflects the tension of modern life: a world overflowing with conflict, cruelty, and chaos and yet, just as overflowing with reasons to love.
“The song touches on the destructive state of our world while we struggle to truly love and understand each other as a species; too many problems, too many reasons to love,” shared Rojas.
This latest track follows Orange Sky’s recent single “Family Love” and will be featured on its upcoming anniversary EP, celebrating 30 years of the band in April 2026. Fans can expect new music, special appearances, and a series of surprises leading up to the milestone.
Rojas hopes that “Too Many” will inspire audiences worldwide and encourage listeners to choose compassion over division, to love each other and embrace the joy of our humanity as we share this beautiful planet.
