The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, is pleased to share the launch of Tourism Matters, the newest video in the Growth Matters public education series.

Tourism is one of the key pillars of Cayman’s economy. But beyond hotels and attractions, it supports a wide network of businesses, jobs, and opportunities throughout our islands. The Tourism Matters video helps explain how the industry fuels economic growth, strengthens infrastructure, supports local entrepreneurs, and contributes to the quality of life in every district.

Created using engaging animation and simple storytelling, the video also highlights the many career pathways connected to tourism — from hospitality and culinary arts to transportation, environmental stewardship, creative services, and entrepreneurship.

As part of the Chamber’s Building a Future-Ready Workforce advocacy pillar, this initiative aims to help students, professionals, and business leaders better understand how the tourism economy works and why it matters to our community.

Growth Matters has been used widely across schools, businesses, and civic organisations to help explain how Cayman’s economy works in a clear and accessible way. The series has also received international recognition for its innovative approach to economic education
