Mind’s Eye Needs YOU! Volunteers Wanted
Do you want to volunteer at an iconic cultural heritage site, and the only place in Cayman that is on the World Monument Fund’s Watch List?
The Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) offers tours of Mind’s Eye: The Visionary World of Gladwyn K. Bush, “Miss Lassie’s House”, to all schools and visitors throughout the year.
School groups usually book tours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 9:00-10:00am or at 10:30-11:30am. We also offer tours to the public on the second and fourth Saturday of every month at 10am-11am.
If you have some time, we are looking for volunteers to assist with these tours on any or all of these mornings. You would be working alongside a member of CNCF staff.
What does the volunteer role involve?
Meeting and greeting tour groups
Serving refreshments
Assisting with the arts activity
Answering questions
Delivering a good customer experience
Assisting in the video room
If you would like to know more and see if this is something you would enjoy, come on the Orientation Session which is being held on August 7th at 10.15am (space is limited so please book). You will be able to observe a tour to see how the sessions are conducted and find out more about how you can help.
If you are unable to make this Orientation Session but are still interested in volunteering at Mind’s Eye, please do get in touch.
To book the Orientation Session or to find out more, contact Virginia Foster at [email protected] or call 949 5477.
