Mark your calendar for two important Fisheries and Aquaculture events during CWA 2025

Fisheries and aquaculture complement agriculture production across the region to provide food and nutrition security, as well as income opportunities at every level! Whether you’re catching fish, packaging products for export, or providing services to help the sector grow, you have a valuable part to play!

As we continue to support CARICOM’s 25 by 2025 + 5 Initiative—aimed at reducing the region’s food import bill by 25% by 2030—we are also working hand-in-hand with our Member States and partners to ensure that fisheries and aquaculture remain in focus, as hundreds of thousands of Caribbean lives and livelihoods depend on this!
We’re happy to partner with the CARICOM Secretariat, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries & Marine Resources and the Department of Marine Resources of Saint Kitts and Nevis, which are collaborating to host this year’s installment of Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA 2025).

The CRFM, with support from several of our key partners, is planning to host two events during CWA 2025:

1. Sargassum Seminar: From Sargassum to Biostimulant: Sowing Change and Harvesting Resilience

2. Caribbean Small-scale Fisheries & Aquaculture Forum

We’ll provide further details in the weeks ahead. Meanwhile, save the dates—29 September to 3 October 2025—and stay tuned for more details on what’s ahead >>  https://crfm.int
