Inclusion Cayman Launches “Uncharted 2026”: A First-of-Its-Kind National Conference Advancing Inclusion Across the Cayman Islands

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – March 14, 2026

Inclusion Cayman will host its inaugural family conference, Uncharted 2026, on March 14,
2026, at Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman — a first-of-its-kind national gathering focused on
advancing inclusion, accessibility, and equitable opportunities across the Cayman Islands.

Registration is free and open to families, educators, healthcare professionals, employers,
policymakers, and community members at uncharted.inclusioncayman.ky.

Designed as a dynamic, forward-thinking event, Uncharted 2026 will explore the intersection of
health, education, and community systems, with practical sessions aimed at strengthening
pathways for persons with disabilities and their families.

The conference theme reflects a reality many families know well: navigating life as a parent,
sibling, or loved one of someone with a disability often means charting unfamiliar territory —
from securing appropriate educational support to accessing health services, employment
pathways, and community inclusion.

Uncharted 2026 is about ensuring no family feels like they are sailing alone.

A Day of Learning, Connection, and Action

The full-day programme will include keynote inspiration, interactive workshops, and
collaborative discussions designed to equip participants with practical tools and knowledge.
Session topics include:

* Inclusive education and diverse learning needs

*Access to therapies and healthcare supports

*Transition planning and future pathways

*Community inclusion and belonging

*Local resources available to support families

The morning will focus on vision-setting and storytelling, including a keynote address from The Pease Brothers, known internationally for their advocacy and storytelling around sport, disability inclusion, and the sibling experience. The afternoon will centre on practical workshops and solution-focused dialogue to ensure attendees leave empowered and informed.
Organisers anticipate welcoming more than 150 participants committed to strengthening
inclusion across the Cayman Islands.

Modelling Inclusion in Action

Uncharted 2026 is not just talking about inclusion, it is modelling it. The conference has beenintentionally designed to reflect accessibility, neurodiversity awareness, and family-centredsupport throughout the day.

Sensory Room

Sponsored by PwC Cayman Islands and curated by the Occupational Therapy Team from The Lighthouse School, the Sensory Room will provide a calm, supportive environment for attendees of all ages.

This thoughtfully designed space offers an opportunity to regulate, rest, or reset at any time during the conference. Families and individuals are welcome to drop in whenever needed — no explanations required.

On-Site Childcare and Therapeutic Support

In partnership with The Wellness Centre and through the generosity of our programmatic sponsors, Uncharted 2026 will offer specialised on-site childcare led by experiencedprofessionals and Occupational Therapists.

Children will engage in meaningful, supported activities in a structured and nurturing environment, allowing parents and caregivers to participate fully in conference sessions with confidence and peace of mind.

Spaces are limited to ensure high-quality, individualised support, and early registration is encouraged.

Get ‘Dhown’ After-Party

The day will culminate in the “Get ‘Dhown’” after-party, sponsored by Dhown Homes.

This celebratory gathering will be a joyful space to honour connection, growth, and community, all fundamental to imagining inclusive futures. Attendees are invited to enjoy an hour-long soirée featuring music, light bites, and space for everyone (children, parents, professionals, and advocates alike) to celebrate inclusivity and collective progress.
