CYFF CLOSE AND GRAND OPENING OF DOVE GARDENS

On Saturday 4th October 2025 saw the official closing ceremony for this year’s Caribbean Youth Film Festival, produced by Dove Productions.

Over seventeen young people participated in the yearly summer workshop program, where they learned the finer points of film making as well as marketing and screen writing techniques. Some of the young people.

On this beautiful Saturday Afternoon, a few of the students accepted their certificates of participation, presented to them by the Managing Director of Dove Productions and Colin Weekes. Parents and well wishers happily looked on, as the young people shared their experience participating in the festival.

Another component of this year’s festival was the CYFF Short Film Competition, where individuals were asked to submit a short film for a chance to win prizes. Second Place position went to Randy Joseph and First Place went to Jeremiah Eristhee. Both young men’s films were shown right there at the venue, for guests to view.

As the curtains came down on this year’s festival, curtains came up on the newest venue for elegant intimate occasions – Dove Gardens.

Located at Rodney Heights, Gros Islet, opposite the Aquatic Center, to the back of Felix Chitolie and Associates, Dove Gardens is a secret oasis filled with lush greenery, trees, flowers and an intimate space for private events.

For the official opening, Make My Day Events provided the decor, and there were activities including a sip and paint session led by Hailey Gonzales, and a fashion show featuring designs from Ms Helena Issac, veteran St Lucian Fashion Designer.

The day winded down on a sweet note, with amazing music, sumptuous eats and drinks in a perfect atmosphere.

Dove Production thanks their very generous sponsors: St Lucia National Lotteries Authority, 1st National Bank, Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, Department of Creative Industries, Sandals St Lucia, Massy Stores, Lumnat Distributors, Subway St Lucia and Cadasse Bakery.
