Cayman: West Bay Structure Fires – Early-Morning Response

At approximately 1:26 a.m., the Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS) responded to reports of a structure fire at 112 Watercourse Road, West Bay.

Upon arrival, crews found four residential structures fully involved in fire, along with an auxiliary storage shed and several vehicles also ablaze. Occupants on scene confirmed that all residents had safely evacuated the affected buildings.

With life safety confirmed, firefighters immediately commenced an offensive firefighting operation to contain and extinguish the fires and to prevent further spread to nearby properties.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
